Apparently makeovers are huge! And well, for good reason. It's like you're getting a bright, shiny new toy when all is said and done. And with so much inspiration on Pinterest, I finally decided to do my own makeover!
As I have a rather small kitchen, that's not so bright and cheery I decided to makeover what is really the only piece of furniture in it - the kitchen table.
Not only was the kitchen table a hand me down, but the finish on the top had been damaged - some parts were matte and some shiny. And then my late night craft sessions sort of added to the madness. Paint. Glitter. Stripped paint where nail polish base and fragrance oils spilled. You know. The usual crafter chaos. (There's actually photographic evidence of that madness here.) So painting it seemed like the natural solution.
Anyhow, I started on the table yesterday. I'm hoping to get it finished today at some point, but that's likely wishful thinking on my part as I have company this evening. Another DIY night. (They are the most fun!) So I'm crossing my fingers for finishing this puppy by Friday at the latest.
The first photo was the start of this makeover. The second is where I left it at the end of yesterday. I'll be sharing the finished photo on Soap Deli News blog, so be sure to keep an eye out there. As someone with fibro I've become very attuned to my body. And I know, that like clockwork, if I get stressed out or it's the week before my monthly cycle my pain level sky rockets. Even if I'm doing everything right. As someone who understands pain and deals with both the physical and emotional toll it takes on my body, I wanted to share an article I found today that may be beneficial to others living with pain on a regular or semi-regular basis. It has to do with the foods we put into our bodies. Something that's been shown to affect certain conditions and work against us if we eat the wrong things.
I know. I know. I struggle with cheating too. I mean, hello! Raw cookie dough people.
Anyway, the article is called 8 Foods An Inflammation Expert Won't Touch. You can find it over at MindBodyGreen blog here.
This sexy ass guy is my husband. Not even three months in and he's already asking, hey!
Will you take some photos of the band?
Sure, babe! I'd love to. Just keep in mind, that I'm not just another band groupie.
Here are the photos I ended up with.
(I've been buying him Nud Goji Chia Banana Crisps from Thrive Market.)

A video is also in the works so keep your eyes peeled.
