Who Am I?
I’m Rebecca. I’m an on and off again soapmaker, DIY-er and blogger whose life is controlled daily by a fierce & mighty miniature dachshund. Much to the dismay of my tiny master, this blog is my current pet project. I am the also the “wizard behind the curtain” at Soap Deli News. My first blog, and first true love, Soap Deli News is filled with homemade soap and skin care recipes, craft projects, essential oil recipes, DIY gifts and home decor ideas.
Plainly put, I’m a not so basic, middle-aged (cringe) white woman who’s way to passionate for most people to deal and has a habit of speaking her mind and standing up for human rights.
Letterkenny is my jam. Plant powered remedies rock my world. And dogs are most definitely small children trapped in furry bodies. Let’s rock the kasbah and be kind to one another. It’s never too late for one last dance.
In real life I cuss like a sailor and I’m totally unapologetic about it. I call people out in the real world for being racist or homophobic. And I always, always, always stand up for the underdog.
Now that that’s settled…
What Is Becca Ink?
Becca Ink was originally slated to be a digital journal of my life and projects. A sounding board of sorts for my thoughts life events and the world at large. As well as a place to announce my new book and share my crafts that didn’t fit well on Soap Deli News. However, life had other plans.
Becca Ink, as it turns out, is slowly evolving as a place to share my favorite recipes and gift ideas, as well as wellness related articles, aromatherapy, beauty tips and home remedies.
Primarily you’ll find me adding more recipe ideas than anything else. While I share vegan and keto recipes, I don’t have any one strict diet I adhere too. I have parents with health issues, so I sometimes make dinner recipes for them. As keto and vegan meals often fit into their existing dietary needs, I just go with the flow.
I enjoy all food so I’m not picky about my meals or desserts falling into a specific category. I also love making food gifts. Hopefully you’ll find food that you enjoy cooking or baking here as well. I really want to be all inclusive as far as food is concerned, so there’s something for everyone. I mean, hello? Food! Let’s enjoy it together.
